Thank you for your interest in We Heart Seattle (WHS), an action-based movement making Seattle more beautiful and safer for all.
WHS gives volunteers and supporters a friction-free way to restore Seattle’s environment by clearing out litter. Along the way, that includes being a positive force in the homelessness crisis, by offering unhoused folks we meet important resources and a chance at treatment or housing. We advocate for change while restoring the parks, alleys, sidewalks, playgrounds, greenbelts, bike trails, vacant lots, and commercial zones to their intended purpose.
In its first three years, WHS and its volunteers:
- provided voter education and weekly volunteer activities to magnify civic engagement.
- removed over ONE MILLION pounds (500 tons) of debris from Seattle’s public spaces in all Seattle zip codes.
- assisted over 200 people in moving off the streets.

Support the Movement
Your contribution today enables We Heart Seattle to organize debris cleanups in public spaces and provide personalized outreach support to people in need.
All donations are unrestricted. Examples of how your donation is used:
- Procure the supplies (e.g. tools, bags, personal protective equipment), truck rental, and dump fees that enable volunteers to restore public spaces.
- Fund our successful stipend program that enables people living outdoors to eliminate barriers and make positive changes to their situation (e.g. basic needs stipends, housing readiness assistance).
- Pay fair hourly wages to our second-chance work team.
- Provide nonpartisan voter education and public policy interaction opportunities.
